Not so sure everyone should be too excited yet. I had a license number next to my App number this morning. I even took a pic of it. Now the license number is gone and only App number remains. Guess ill just wait till next week when its official before I worry about it.

How do you know the unit, more specifically, the hunt??? Was that your only "choice"?

If you read thru the posts, it should show that NM pulled down the backdoor yesterday afternoon. I talked to a guy yesterday that got a confirmation from NMGF that if you have a license number then u drew. They told him they were shutting it down due to the sheer number of phone calls they received. People calling ruined a good thing.lol. Doesn't mean u didn't draw at this point, but you will have to wait til next wed to confirm. Along with finding out what unit.

Damn......missed this........I am in for BHS, IBEX and Barbary. Will have to wait until next Wednesday. I know my chances are slim, but If nothing, I guess I will just buy an OTC Barbary tag again.

Game and Fish sure is taking a beating down here on social media, and the like, for taking down first the harvest report backdoor and then later the license number backdoor. I was shocked when my buddy figured out the harvest report thing, only too find out a lot of others did as well. Who'd even think to check on that?

Anyways there's a lot of confusion with mixed messages coming from game and fish and everyone is already impatient as the draw results are traditionally posted about a week before the date listed in the current year's book. That obviously won't be the case this year. I'm not complaining as it looks like I have a second season archery elk tag in GMU 36 (finally) and my normal GMU 37 rifle deer hunt.

My application had the hunts arranged in a different order that was out of order, in my case the hunts were numbered 2,3,1 and the hunt code associated with 2 was first hunt unit 15.

You are right Bar, I'm not patient. I've never even killed a big game animal in my life . Hoping my new bow gets here by September. I need to Learn how to shoot it at least a day or two before my hunt!
