Is the Thermarest XTherm NXT Still the king of pads?

I’m going back to the XTherm. It’s not the most comfortable pad for a side sleeper, but the warmth, weight and packability are outstanding.

I found the Exped 7R to be less comfortable than the XTherm, and the S2S Ether Lite Xtreme was a cold pad for me (with a quilt and temps in the mid teens).
You were cold with the Etherlite Extreme? I just bought one for my wife so that's not good news, she could sleep in a 0 degree bag in our bedroom at home with the heat on 72.

I tried for a dozen summer backpacking trips and several hunting seasons to get used to the noise/uncomfortable feel of the NeoAir XTherm....and eventually gave up on it when my hunting partner showed me his Big Agnes Rapid SL pad on an AK caribou hunt.....after we got back I marched my ass to REI and bought one and haven't looked back.

You look at REI reviews and all the recent reviews say manufacturer of Xtherm no longer has a phone number, virtually no customer service any longer, lots of issues with the recent runs delaminating baffles and leaks and filling out a warranty claim goes Unanswered for a year. The Nemo all season lightweight has a much higher review rating so thinking of giving that a try, and a lifetime warranty.
