Is the TBAC Ultra 7 still relevant?

To me it’s still very relevant, I love mine, it’s worked great and I have no complaints. I haven't found anything significantly better yet.

The “outdated” claims come from people who spend more time reading spec sheets than actually using their stuff. It honestly seems like some people’s sole hobby is overanalyzing instead of using gear.

These people think an extra ounce at the end of a gun or a long action rather than a short action will significantly effect their shooting experience.

You literally just described 99% of rokslide and one very prominent company’s business model on here.

I would bet TBAC is going to jump into the 3d printed game very soon, especially since they already have one can. I trust them and have had nothing but positive interactions so I’d love to see them join the 3d game with some “newer” technology from a company that’s trusted.

Yea and I notice a lot of the “outdated” claims often come from people who don’t even own a Thunderbeast or haven’t even used one.

Silencers seem to draw out the stupidest comments in general.

I remember a Facebook group for TBAC cans, some guy was asking about a banish 30 and all the TBAC fanboys were saying that it’s “1800s” technology. I commented that all TBAC did was weld it all together. I had like 80 people tell g me how stupid was yet they couldn’t provide anything technical/useful. It was hilarious but sad at the same time. I don’t know what it is but the more I step back from certain things the more I realize how pathetic people can be lol.

Like the Toyota analogy, I think bows are an even closer example. The newest bows kill animals exactly as dead as the old ones, at the same distances, but with more polish and hype. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my newer bow, but the end equation is no different than with my old one.
I have 2 Thunderbeasts. The ultra 7 is great. If it becomes an "old bow" I think its only because we get bored.

TBAC cans are the quietest Ive ever been around...
Id love to have a DT Ultra 7...anyone have a line on one in stock?

Please elaborate.

I remember that event. You're upset they charged you to fix your fukup?

Uhhh, not true. I had a "baffle strike" on my 338 ultra and it cost me $1300 for them to repair it for me.
Oh that sucks. I wasn’t talking about TBAC though. To me, OCL is the gold standard for warranty and free repairs. I believe Diligent and Resilient are quite solid too.

I have over a dozen cans, and to me it is the one that I can always count on for my biggest hunts no question. goes on my 30N and I trust to return to zero when installing.

I had a TBAC baffle strike (not their fault, but not mine either) and I think they charged ~$200 (IIRC). The damage in my case was not material though and might not be a fair comparison.
