Sitting on about $1,500 worth of boots and can’t find a damn thing I like.

Biggest part of problem is left foot at least a half size bigger than right. That plus supply chain bullshit has made things very difficult.

Lacrosse Atlas seem like really nice Boots for the $200 mark But they stop at size 13 in my left foot big toe is not comfortable.

I tried 13 wads in the dinner vital. Too short. I did find some 14s regular with. They’re pretty comfortable. The reviews on waterproof Ness suck. But I’m going to try. You know it’s a bad sign with the manufacturers website has their own brand of spray on sealant.

Wading boots as a whole different story. I really like the 14 Orvis ultra light but they a bit tight. Went back to the Simms Flyweight in 14 And oddly enough they are actually a little bit bigger. I’ve been focusing on extra width this whole time I think length has been what’s hindering me.

Neither pair will ever fit with chota tundra hippies. The chowder XL that my legs but there’s too much material in the stocking foot. Their large stocking foot barely gets over my foot absolute No go. I love the concept but these two pairs of tundra hippies are worthless for me.

Most everyone has a foot that's a different size than the other. Maybe not a full half size, but a difference nonetheless. Boots are such a personal thing it makes me cringe when someone asks what boots to get and people just start naming off THEIR favorite boots. Unfortunately there's a lot of trial and error involved to find the ones that work.

For that money you've spent, you could have had 2 or 3 pairs of russel moccasins custom hand tailored for your feet lol. I love mine, have another pair for a winter boot on the way any day now. My left foot is much bigger than my right too. Ive worn my Russell's almost every single day since i got them

They’re all going to be returned.

Thats good. Im just saying that many people seem to spend thousands and waste quite a bit of time and never seem to find the perfect boot. For about 400-700 depending on what type of boot you want, you can get some custom made for you by Russell. Just another option

Not everyone has good luck with Russell, the experience for me was horrible. Glad you were able to get what you wanted from them.

Interesting. What type of leather did you have them use and what issue did you have that they didn't correct? I got the siliconized weather tuff leather, I've probably worn them for about 500 days give or take hunting and doing construction and they've held up great

I think these going to be fine. The 14 Danner vitals. Wish there were wides but they will be good enough. Damn big toe on my left foot just pisses me off. And the Simms flyweight 14s with thickest socks I own were also fine.

Keeping the Chota Tundra hippies just because I love the idea. Incredibly tight and wont be any good for Alaska or any long walks, but I’ll use them locally for whitetail hunts where 2-3 feet of water is sometimes encountered.
