Burris Fullfield II over the Vortex Crossfire every time. I will admit that the new Crossfire HD's give a good view for the money, but I don't think I'd use one over the FFII on any serious hunting rifle unless it was the only thing I could get. I've played with the muzzleloader version and the 2-7, sold both of them. Still have several Burris Droptine's.

I have not used that particular scope. But I have had a different crossfire 2 scope a bunch of years ago, as well as a few other vortex scopes. I had a razor HD g2 on long term loan that held zero, but none of my other vortex scopes held zero. At this point I pretty much have written off Vortex as a rifle scope brand due to my experiences. My $ is buying trijicon in this scope category, twice the price of a crossfire but has been money well spent every time so far. Ive never used a burris so cant compare.

I've gotten good service from my Vortex Vipers and Diamondback HDs (made in the Philippines). The Crossfire is Vortex's lowest quality line and is made in China. I would not buy a scope made in China. The Burris Fullfield is made in the Philippines and I believe is a better choice. If I were going to buy a new scope today it would be a Trijicon.

I've had 3 or 4 Vortex scopes. Still have a 3-9×40 on my AR10.
I won't say they are as good as a Leupold, but the one I have does very well. Holds it's "zero" nicely.

I prefer the Diamondback myself. I only have one Crossfire, but it doesn't seem as clear. I have three Diamondbacks bought on sale at various times. Not sure why, but they like to change model numbers and the discontinued ones are pretty cheap sometimes at Midway.
