Anyone have any feedback on the IQ Micro-Adjust bowsights? After getting back from a bowhunt this fall I'm thinking about trying to go peep-less; and liked the 'Retina Lock' concept. Thoughts? Thanks!!

I'm interested as well. I bought the Sure Loc Lethal Weapon version, but I'm starting out with a peep. I'd love to move away from it as well.

I find it really helps tighten up your shooting. I have the IQ pro hunter and the lethal weapon. The retina on the lethal weapon is smaller and not as easy to use. I still use the peep. Just use the retina to tell me when I am torquing things.

My biggest concern is durability - I want to see if anyone's banged it around on a backpack hunt and how it performed. I realize it may not be my bulletproof SpotHogg, but are they even close?

I've been using them for the last four years with no problems. Packed up and down many a mountain. Strapped to the back of my pack or in my hand and they've held true the whole time.

I started off with the idea of using it peepless and did that for three years. Put the peep back in and it tightened my groups up. It wasn't terrible without the peep, but I wanted arrow touching accuracy because that's how I am.

That's kind of what I would expect.

I think the Sure-Loc Lethal Weapon Red w/ Retina Lock has a similar robustness. It's pretty stout. However, I bought it for 3rd axis adjustment and the micro adjustments.

I mostly plan to use the retina lock as a training tool. I'm not sure I will look at it much in the moment of a shot opportunity.

Which model have you been using?

I think I'm going to give the IQ a try. I just got back from an archery bighorn hunt, and wanted to try a different setup. I just started needing to wear glasses (nearsighted w. astigmatism) and they challenged me a bit with focusing and the peep during this last hunt. I'd run it on my hunting bow where I run a rule of thumb of 1" of group per 10 yard increment. I.E. 1"@10 / 2"@20 / 3"@30 etc out to 60/70. So arrow touching isn't a primary concern - it just has to hit my standards for hunting. Tighter groups are always better though 😉

I've never shot a Sure Loc but it just looked sooo long...and heavy. Not complaining about something being tough. And what happened to the green? I really don't like the red level at all. Seems like it would be hard to see in low light.

Not really sure the model now. The first one wasn't micro adjust and this one is. I like this second generation better. It's not a sure loc or anything like that.

You can get that kind of accuracy peepless. You'll be shocked how much you torque your bow once you have that sight on you bow.

You're right on all accounts. It's definitely heavier than my old sight. I kind of like the dovetail though. It allows me to adjust the length for better accuracy and peep to sight housing alignment. I'll keep you posted after I shoot it more.
