I'm reading very conflicting things regarding the brightness of this reticle illumination.

I can't find much info on it in general. If I don't like the BDC dial provided, what are my options? Can it be "converted"?

I found this video for the FFP version. He talks about illumination being good, and typically, SFP illumination is better. He also says IOR can swap reticles. But, you might want to reach out to IOR Valdada to confirm.

Thanks, I'll reach out to them.

I'm looking for something good from 0-400ish yards for a Benelli R1 in 30-06. This seems like the sort of thing that could be an alternative to a red dot/ scope stack. Would be quite interested if they could change the reticle, or at least explain what it's doing.

The specs say the BDC reticle is for 62 grain 5.56/.233. 100 yard zero out to 800 yards.

The outside of the horseshoe is 16" at 100 yards. The hashmarks are 21" wide from 300 to 800 yards.

How many mil/ moa down from the bullseye are the drop hashes?

And I'd assume that those numbers are the same as what the elevation dial adjusts at each of its settings? So you have a choice of using the dial or the BDC marks, they should both get you to the same place?

I'll be using handloaded high-velocity, low-weight copper bullets, so I'm sure things won't line up great... But I'd like to look at my ballistic calculator and see if they'd line up in a useable sort of way.

If the adjustments/ hashes were in straight MIL's I'd be so much more enthusiastic.

Specs say the elevation turret is designed for 308 BDC 168 grain. I just sent you a DM to share 2 pages from the specs.
