I have never had any issues with goat-tuff or pine ridge. Use it for fletching too. Also, gorilla glue super glue works well too. But it has to be the "impact resistant" stuff.

I wouldn't even mess with the epoxy...these glues are plenty stout. Just clean the cut end of the arrow good (inside and out) and use enough glue.

Hot melt is the only adhesive I have used for almost 20 years. I don't say this to be contentious, but the last thing I want to use is an insert adhesive that will never come out.

I use to only use hot melt but never once turned an insert after it's initial installation so after losing a couple broadheads in their target I went with lock tite

I'm the opposite........I NEVER want those suckers to come out once I put them in. I've had way too many hotmelted inserts come out of my arrows for my liking......and usually inside a target.

For HIT's I use the 24 hour epoxy, for regular inserts I use Gorilla Super Glue. I've never had a HIT come out, even hitting something extremely hard........but I have had some Super Glue ones pop loose on hard hits.

For you guys running HIT inserts, what are you using? I only see mention of the HIT's in a couple posts and it was with epoxy. I've only used the 24hr epoxy with my HIT's but curious if you are using some of the other cyanoacrylate style of glues with them also? I have used Goat Tuff, Loctite (blue), Bohning Fletch Tite Platinum, and Gorilla impact tough on fletching and by far my favorite is the Gorilla with Loctite being 2nd. Would be nice if this worked equally well on inserts but I haven't been brave enough to try it.

I used to use the regular Gorilla Glue, blue cap, on my HIT's. Never had one come out. Couldn't get it out if you wanted to. Worked very well.

24 hour epoxy. Too many inserts coming out in my rhinehart target and its a pain in the butt to dig it out in a rhinehart block. Never had an issue with epoxy since switching
