So I just ordered my first tipi Hot tent. Ordered the Argali Absaroka found it on Scheels. I've got no experience with tipi's or Hot stove. Most time I solo hunt or have one of my boys go sometime. Im wanting to start backpacking in some and take some trips too. I don't care to pay for quality but I also don't want to pay for some overpriced big name junk either. Would like to hear from others experiences and maybe save me some money or frustration! Appreciate any advice given thanks for your help!

I run the LiteOutdoors stove in a Seek Cimarron. That stove does a great job in keeping a longer burn and allowing for bigger pieces of wood. Definitely won’t burn all night but heats up quickly. Some people mention the box stove versions for the ability to boil or cook on top. The LO stove has the same ability. The only downside side is the carry case, which is super thin material that rips easily. Overall, I think it’s hard to beat value wise.

Argali makes a nice light packable stove. Peak makes one a bit lighter. If you're planning on packing in, with a stove, you want as light as you can get, while reliable, and made in a manner that does not lend itself to losing parts. So as you shop for one, keep these things in mind.

After scrolling through this site fb and YouTube and Google searches and with exactly what you said in mind. I bought the Peax Torrid. Seems pretty simple and not a bunch of wing nuts and bolts. And decent size. Had bunch of good reviews on all sites with very few not so good. Any advice on support pole for Tipi

How long do these stoves last? Just curious it seems like they may rust out quickly?
I have a Kodiak tent with stove jack and have never used a stove.

Im more then likely going to unless I find a better option and doesn't look like I'm going to.
I have the Absoroka, 1/2 insert, Argali stove, and carbon pole. It does everything I bought it for. There are other pole options, but I'm unsure if there is a better pole option. If I were to be in the market for a titanium stove at this time, I'd likely get the Peak's, for obvious reasons. But for solo trips, I have an ultralight tent, with no option for a stove, inside the tent. The Absoroka is a very good 2 person and a stove mobil camp option. You could shave some weight with a/the dyneema material option, but split between 2 people, I doubt you'd notice the weight or bulk difference.

I did wind up ordering the Peax stove yesterday with 20% off father's day sale. I ordered my tent thru Scheels and supposed to be getting a $75 gift card. Gonna use it to buy the pole. Im guessing it is coming with the tent.

I have no doubts you're going to enjoy the setup and get lots of use out of it.

@Bubblehide are you using the carrying case that came with the argali stove? I recently got one and was wondering if there is a lighter bag.
It depends on what is going in my pack... the case helps to protect the stove. But, if I can pack it in a manner that keeps it protected, I don't use the bag. If I can keep it off the bottom of my pack, but against the frame, it is pretty well protected if I wrap my sleeping bag, down jacket... around it. Just keep in mind that once you use it, it'll be dirty, and get things dirty. It's not difficult to clean, but you might need to plan for that.

Thanks for the info. I’ll probably end up using the bag it came with to keep other things protected but the bags end up a little over a pound i believe

When you're 6 miles from the truck, turned in for the night, and the stove has cooled for the night, don't put your eye-glasses on the stove to prevent you from rolling on them through the night in your slumber, and then start the stove up in the morning without moving your glasses.

Speaking from experience.
