After hours of research and help from various forums I narrowed my search to an Induro tripod. I have handled the gitzo tripods, Manfrotto, and some other brands but I came to the conclusion it is the best for the money. Most of us hunters don't use tripods on a day to day so we may not need the top of the line, most expensive tripod. I, like most, can't spend $350 to $1000 on tripod legs. This review (once I get the tripod in) will consist of various test to see if the budget conscious hunter can get a tripod for a budget price without sacrificing durability and stability. I will post some videos in the snow as well as in a wind storm with my Viper 80, 10x42 binos on the tripod.

The tripod should be here Saturday. I had some other financial burdens I needed to take care of so the review is pushed back a few weeks. During that time I have had my bogpod out and testing that with my viper 80. So far I have no complaints. I mounted my ph 111v on it and it works great!

I hope it works well.. I have found that it is worth spending the money once on top end stuff.. A guy spends 3000 on a spotter, and 100 on a spotter, doesnt make sense.. I did this and soon found out, it was a mistake.. Cant even use the spotter to its full potential. JMO

I Feel the same about getting what you pay for but for those people who don't use a spotter 24/7, I don't think a 300 tripod is necessary. Or a 500 dollar one. In my experience I really didn't "feel"- a difference from a couple different brands. I cannot afford a 300 spotter nor could I ever afford a 3k spotter. If I could afford that I highly doubt I would look at a couple hundred dollar tripod. I would have a 1k tripod. This will be a test to see if it's worth the money. With a ten year warranty, I am excited. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I agree with you 100%.. Just sometimes people expect way more out of things then they should.. I see that isnt the case with you.. But sometimes you do find a gem, with out having to spend more money.. I will look back for your review...

As you unpack the tripod you can see they don't just give you the tripod. There is more to the deal. The case is really nice but not much use in the backcountry. It appears the craftsmanship is really good but that is said without testing. The look and feel is awesome. These tripods come with a 10 year warranty! Now that's awesome for a $100 tripod. I plan to get it out in the Wyoming wind and see how it works. Here are some more pictures. More to come...

As for height. I was using it earlier with my angled 80 and it was not maxed. In my next pictures I have I a standing with it looking in my spotter without much bend in my back.
