index on diopter focus lost original alignment

the index knob on my binos was perfectly aligned. Now it’s about1/4 a turn to the minus side to make both tubes equally aligned.
I guess it lost its lock and slipped. Basically like a scope knob that slipped so it’s zero is not indexed to “0”.
Is there an easy way to fix it or just send it the dealer under warranty??
