Illinois (Chicago) 3d Ranges For Practice

Afternoon everyone,

I am looking for anything in the Chicago Land area that would be a 3d range that can be made into a competition. Trying to get some places to practice other than flat/ back yard ranges. I want to start getting more practice with slopes, lighting, windage, footing etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So you want to find a range, or find a place to set up a range and run a competition? Either way good luck. That state is pretty flat. There was some state park area down east of Champaign I remember, that may have something, or maybe somewhere along the Illinois river valley.

Or go north to WI.

No clubs will have a 3d range available at all times, most will have 3d shoots. Joliet archery club comes to mind, they do have a field course in the timber with some challenging shots, as well as some 3d shoots periodically.

If you're in the North, Kenosha County Conservation Club has a 3D course and a flat archery range.
