Hey guys, i had the pleasure of shooting a Wengard Chamois recently. I immediately wanted to order a custom, but he’s not taking any orders for the time being.
That being said, I would like to set up an ILF r/d style lowbrow approximating a Chamois while I wait for him to begin taking orders. I’m new to both long bows and ILF, having primarily shot an RER Arroyo recurve.
My current plan is to start with a VPA Vapor 15” riser. I found some now discontinued limbs that looks similar, the TradTech R/D limbs, but can’t find a place to get ahold of some. Any ideas what limb I should be looking at? Also, any ideas on finished length? I’m not familiar with the draw force curve of these R/D longbow limbs compared with a recurve.
I’ll be aiming for 52-55 lbs @ 28.5”
