ILF Limb Help

I've been waiting for a pair of Tradtech Black Max 2.0 Carbon/Wood recurve limbs I ordered from Lancaster to come back in stock and ship out for a while. I finally got tired of waiting and called Lancaster. They stated earliest arrival is June. So, anybody have any other suggestions for a quality set of ILF limbs that I could use for hunting? I was hoping for the shorts in 50#. Thanks.

The WNS Delta C3 at Lancaster seem the be similar if not the same as the TT Black max. They have the maple core with carbon. The graphics could be covered with limbsations or similar.

Also, check out the Galaxy series of limbs at Lancaster. I’ve read good things about them. The black stars (carbon and bamboo) intrigue me.

Check this shop out, they have a ton of different brands all price ranges and they're usually significantly cheaper than other sites but they are in Europe so shipping will take an extra week. Got my Uukha Saiga limbs here last year and they've been great!

I recently bought a set of these, I was super pleased with them, didn't apples to apples compare them with the trad tech limbs I have but I think they are a good bit faster, not sure about noise though and I don't know how heavy they go

Thanks for the information and I've decided on either the Uukha Selenga or Uukha Gobi limbs. Here is my new problem. I shoot a 21" riser and the Selenga limbs offer a 50# but the Gobi limbs only go up to 45#. With my longer riser I'm afraid the 45# limbs won't give me the juice I'm looking for in regards to hunting. I pull 29.5" and currently shoot a recurve that is 48# at 28". Thoughts?

Use their calculator on their site. I have found it to be quite accurate. Riser limb pocket angles can vary weight.

I would personally go heavier to have a #50 +\- bow.

The Uukha limbs are really smooth drawing and feel lighter than an equivalent weight Trad Tech or similar.

Why do you need 50#’s? At 29.5” those 45# limbs will make the bow pretty close to 48#, and that’ll take any North American game animal. The only reason to really go above that is if you plan to take that bow to Alaska where they have a 50# minimum.

Remember, accuracy trumps poundage every time…

I ordered the 50# Selenga limbs. I have a 45# Bear recurve for form/training and my Bob Lee at 48# is my main hunting bow currently. I can shoot it all day but really dislike taking it out in the mud/rain days. It’s just too pretty! Hoping this combo can be my nasty day hunting bow. Now I wait.

I have been very happy with my Tradtech 2.0 wood glass limbs, the draw nice and have plenty of speed. I have thought about their carbon limbs but after doing some research on carbon limbs that unless you are paying a lot of money most so called carbon limbs act have very little carbon in them and are mostly glass.

I’ve ordered the TradTech black max 2.0 also at the same length and weight as you. I was looking at the Hoyt satori limbs since it doesn’t look like I’ll be getting the trad techs anytime soon ( I’m not the most patient person when it comes to things like this). Does anyone have any feedback on these limbs? I was also thinking about the Uukha Gobi limbs.

Limbs have arrived. Got quite a bit going on this weekend so hopefully early next week I’ll get to shooting them.

I looked at the Gobis but opted for a used set of BM limbs for my first dip into the ILF pond. What riser and rest are you planning to use?

I have a 21” Win & Win black elk riser. Going to start shooting off the shelf and see how it goes.

Well I’m impressed! These limbs rock and the riser is awesome (does need some moleskin on the shelf though). Not exactly sure on the tiller settings and other smaller details yet but this bow is fast, quiet, easy to hold back and accurate. Looking forward to it drying up outside so I can stretch it out a bit. This is my best group so far at 12 yards and I have shot it less than 20 times.

Man I’ve been mulling over Morrisons website.. those short or super short limbs would be sweet with my 25.5” draw length.
