If you have a chance to move to Canada, which province would you choose?

As the title says, which province would you choose for hunting purpose? I`m thinking Yukon and NWT, but probably not BC.

Yukon and bc probably have the best and most hunting available. Alberta would be a close second and then sask. We in sask used to have good otc archery mule deer and otc moose but the deer numbers are the lowest ive ever seen and the government is messing with the otc moose tags and areas. The fishing in sask an bc is excellent. I don't know much about yukon or nwt and our federal government and health care system are a joke.

I would look very hard into the current issues in Canada right now. Extremely low wages and extremely expensive housing. It also has extremely harsh winters in most of Canada. Especially northern areas

It would be great if more hunters and pro gun people come here so don’t take that as I am suggesting not moving here.

I wouldn’t move here. The amount of tax I pay is ridiculous. The politics are crazy. Here in B.C. the natives have claimed over 100% of the land belongs to them (overlapping claims) and a recent court decision has put any private property ownership in jeopardy.

I would choose Alaska.

I had the chance and chose to return to the USA. Vancouver was amazing for 5 months while I worked on Spiderman 2, food was great, people were nice but I was taxed in both Canada and US so it was a nice trip but no thanks on living there. Montreal was a crowded nightmare and couldn't get around for all of the construction going on. Def not the same experience as Raincouver.

For hunting, BC, all day. But those commie Nazi pieces of filth running the show up there can (censored censored censored) and then (censored censored). It'll be a very cold day in the hot place when I'd willingly move back (I lived there for about a decade once, loved it a lot at the time).

But assuming I was gonna, I'd go to Alberta and vote for separating from Canuckistan. Northern Alberta is where the good hunting is. Southern AB is kinda lame from a hunting opportunity perspective (compared to BC anyway)

That’s our only hope at this point. Canada has fallen.

True story. For real, it breaks my heart, and I'm just a guy who adopted it as home for a significant chunk of my life, a good many years ago now. I can only imagine how sickening it is for natural born Canadians.

I would have to say BC, good hunting and has a coastline for fishing. In the hunting off season I am a fishing fool also!

Drugs are legal there… that should explain the shape BC is in. Also the natives are claiming they own all the private land now.

The Natives claiming it isn't the problem. The courts agreeing with them is the problem.

But the funny part (and maybe the only thing that will eventually lead to order) is after the judge awarded the property to one tribe because he ruled the property was stolen from them long ago, another tribes showed up to say the recently awarded tribe stole it from them before that.

It’s so sad to see what’s happened/happening to BC. Sounds like it was almost paradise 20 years ago. It’s still probably the best place in the world for hunting.

Hard Pass, I'll stay south of the 49th Parallel and then some. Used to be a great place. Not so much anymore.

It really does suck what has happened with BC. By far the most beautiful province and world class hunting destroyed by some incompetent politicians

I've lived in South Central BC the past 16 years after 35 years in CO and growing up in WI. Am a dual citizen of the US (born there) and Canada. Could live anywhere north of Mexico but chose to retire and build the retirement place in BC. The dry central interior gets limited snow fall down low and offers a decent growing season.....grapes, watermelons, corn, cherries, peaches, apricots, apples, blackberries, strawberries, etc. Keeps my wife busy and happy.

Local hunting for mule and whitetail deer is marginal coming from CO...three month gun season and over the counter licenses here...short 9 day early Sept archery season. Black bear hunting is decent. Bighorns are primarily over the counter but a low success for a legal ram. Stones are too but a 16 hour drive to reach a place to fly or back pack in for me. Goats are over the counter in many areas and a lot closer drive....BC has about half of the Mt Goats in North America. Moose are locally on a draw, but over the counter in north. Mt Caribou just went to a draw in the areas open to hunting in the north. 15 huntable big game species....but Dall Sheep and Bison are a low odds draw.

All that said if I was young and single I'd live in the Yukon for a while.
