So I won’t lie- I really like MKC knives and the idea of USA made and lasting forever but hated the paracord. So here is a Stoned Goat, Speed Goat, and Mini Goat that I did with desert ironwood handles. Also the final one is the Stub Horn I did with desert ironwood handles. I didn’t fine sand the Stub Horn as I wanted to have some grip to it. If I change my mind I can always go back and fine sand and buff

How about a step by step how to? I’d like to do the same with mine.

I have a kinda step by step in the DIY section. I went to Jantz knife supply online and got some ironwood scales and then some epoxy and assorted G10 pins. I roughly outlined the handles on the ironwood blanks and then superglued them together and then cut them on a little band saw wider than the handle. I then drilled the holes where I wanted them and then epoxied them to the handle overnight. The next day I started the long process of sanding until it felt right. Then I hand sanded and kept sanding until I got to like 1000- 2000 grit. Lastly I coated everything with Odie’s Oil and let it sit and then buffed. The Stubhorn was much more involved and I sprang for the really nice burl ironwood
