Update....we're in the Kootenai National forest south of Libby. No bears signed.
We've hiked many miles on old logging roads and glassing south facing slopes. Nearly no sign on logging roads. Seeing mulies and whitetail. That's pretty cool.
We stopped in the Flathead for a day on our way here. Plenty of snow and nothing green.
Some locals said bear are out and moving though. We seen no evidence at all there.
I hope you other hunters ate doing well.
