If it's really the same bear......So to be clear. Despite the IDFG response and these still images from a video, you are maintaining your position that this is a black bear?

I think you are trolling at this point. I'm not sure if it is possible to post a video so I took screen shots from the video that IDFG sent me of the bear going from the exact standing position that is in the guide and your OP, and then several more screenshots as the bear drops to all fours, moves and then stands again. I'm beginning to think you wouldn't know a grizzly bear if came up and bit you.If it's really the same bear......
I didn't. Maybe because I already had a license?Do I really have to pay $25 to take this test?

I suggest you read the entire thread; especially post 31, 36, and 40.Not surprising coming from IDFG. Black bears. Left, 2-tone muzzle, narrow not dish shaped face/head, jet black hair. No indicators that the left photo is a grizzly. Right photo, 2-tone muzzle, narrow not dish shaped head/face, white chest blaze, no long claws on the bear's right "hand" and the flank hair is typical of a color phase black, not a grizzly. No indication the right is a grizzly except that it is not jet black.
My guess.
And then we can argue about it some more......I suggest you read the entire thread; especially post 31, 36, and 40.
You got a laugh out of me on that one.And then we can argue about it some more......
