Ideas For "Ultralight" Wall Tent Style Shelter. Features you want to see?

I rarely pack cots on my hunts. Little different if you have a large number of stock like an outfitter, but when its just myself and 3-4 horses, I still want to be lightweight. . I would really like some sort of floor as an option. Maybe a 3/4 floor or a full floor with open space where the stove needs to go. I like the courthouse and have used one multiple times, but dont own one because I still have a redcliff that works fine. BUT, If i could upgrade to a larger tent i could stand in all over like the courthouse, with a lightweight floor and stove ability and still stay around that 15lb mark give or take with all stakes/poles etc. That would be an awesome set up for run and gun horse trips
We should have a floor coming out for the courthouse this summer so stay tuned!

Take the design of the Twilight and up size it to a 6 person (13' x 13') with the addition of a bell tent style sidewalls for the ability to utilize all the floor space. An optional rigid collapsable frame would also be nice for the horse guys or anyone wanting a basecamp setup. Removable fire mat/floor and possibly a liner would round out the accessories nicely.
Yeah I think we are definitely planning on having the floor liner option.

This going to be something to compete against the Hybrid series from Snowtrekker? They already have sub 20lb options including the frame.

Can you give any information about this new tent(size, style/shape)? I’m in the market for a new tent now and wondering if I should wait. Thanks

Not much at the moment aside from i think it will be a little bigger than the Courthouse. Hopefully big enough for 4-5 cots.

It will not have a full frame thats for sure and will probably be bigger but no promises....

What time frame are you looking at having this tent available? I’m looking for something that would fit 4-5 cots with a stove.

Not sure how it would be “ultralight” to fit 5 cots and a stove… That’s atleast 12x16. Ultralight strikes me as a real 2 man with titanium stove. 10x10 or 10x12.
Doesn’t have to be ultralight in my book, just not 100 lbs.

Its not gonna be dyneema lol. But in relation to other wall tents yes it will be ultralight.
I would say that the Courthouse is "ultralight". For the space that it provides in a wall tent, sitting at 13 lbs. its the lightest wall tent on the market. I think for this one it will ideally be lighter but no promises.

@Beendare is spot on.

Need something for fly in Alaska hunts.

needs to fit 4 people with cotts or 3 with a stove jack.

Space on the inside should accommodate everyone being able to comfortably sit on their cot and walk in and out. Crouch to exit is fine but someone 6’ should be able to stand and stretch if the weather is bad and you’re in the tent all day.

Wind is a big issue where we hunt so some level of aerodynamic is necessary.

The Cabela’s Alaskan Guide model was pretty sweet, but it’s too heavy and bulky to fly on commercial airlines.

Sneak peak of what we are going to be coming out with. We have had this tent in 54 mph winds and golf ball sized hail and it was fine. Even have had the awning open with 20- 30 mph gusts and it has not pulled stakes. Similar foot print size to Courthouse but can fit 4 Standard cots or probably like 6+ short cots. Looking at end of July release.
