Well, west central Idaho winter is not starting out so great. Had 2 feet of snow last couple of days and more is on the way tonight.
I've already seen lots of animals coming down and are already on the highway. Not good for November 14th.......

Here in the Cache valley (extreme south-east Idaho and Northern Utah the valley hasn't got much but the app "Ventusky" shows over 2 ft in the mountains. The number of mulies in the valley has really spiked. The few elk that are around usually winter at Hardwares Ranch where the feed them hay to keep them from wintering in the city in the valley.

It's decent here north of Moscow. Snow has been melting--about gone at 3000'.... and mids 50s are coming....we don't need more stress on the ungulates. Hope things improve, Mntrunner...

This week looks to be warm with rain up to 6500-700' last time I looked. I believe this year is a "La Nina" year so we can only hope for a bit warmer temps to give the animals a break.

I was in denial that it was an early winter but experiencing -2F in unit 40 made me a believer real quick.

That area is 300+ percent of normal snow levels today. I'm sure it'll even out a bit but it's crazy right now.

The genius Al Gore predicted global warming. The glaciers are gone from what I was told ? Are you sure you have snow in November ?

The problem with global warming statistics is that it is the same people taking those stats that do the Covid models/stats and count ballots. At any rate drove through Idaho 2 days ago and most of the snow has melted in the valleys. More cows must have farted and increased C02 gasses.😁

Well, we need the snowpack. Last year was abysmal and two years of that in a row would be catastrophic for farmers. Salmon river flows were pathetic, Wood River was a joke. We want our cake and eat it too. Better to have big dumps now than in March and April, those are the ones that hammer the herds.
