Hey guys. New member and hunter. Just lucked in to a Diamond Creek Elk tag. Can someone let me know where all the elk are in this unit. Thanks

Ive done some math. Ive moved up 442 spots in 46 min.

It should be my turn to get in, in almost 30 hours.

Gonna set up my copper spur in the office.

Flip side, its a 25 hour drive from LA to ID.

You must drive really slow, because I can drive to LA and back to Idaho in 28 hrs

Since everyone here knows Idaho I thought this would be a good spot to ask. Not looking for any honey holes. Want to do a epic backcountry elk hunt in a bowl or basin loaded with elk. Don't worry about gear I have firstlite head to toe. What zone would you pick and then what drainage in that zone.

Does anybody know where I can get the unit descriptions on the tags online? These updated descriptions.

Only book I have on hand is from 2012, doubt they are up to date.

Even the most current regs, which are posted on the website, will be up for new season setting in March. You’re literally buying a tag now and the season could be completely different come season

A good portion of them will spend all day to get a tag and then return it in the coming months.

Yep, 30% tag increases across the board.

Honestly, I never should have given up my Idaho residency for college and the National Guard... Probably the biggest mistake I've ever made. Trying to get tags in Utah as a resident is worse than getting tags as a nonresident in Utah.

I’ve never had problems with the WI system, that one cranks through hundreds a minute.

I’m pretty sure the only reason numbers have gone down is people leaving the queue

I have one guy in our group that successfully acquired an Elk tag.
