I’m looking for a guided bull elk rifle hunt in Idaho that can provide ATV access to the base camp. My dad is in great shape but 80 and decided on our recent hunt that he no longer wants to hike with a backpack. I’m hoping to convince him to go along with me and stay at the camp. I’m aware that most camps are reached on horseback and my dad prefers not to ride in. We have been doing DIY hunts on foot for the last few years and I have not gotten a bull yet, and would like my dad to have the opportunity to be there, at least at the camp, when I do.

I’m looking for an outfitter that might do something like this.

Thanks, Steve

I used Wild Idaho for a mule deer drop camp. I can’t comment on their guided hunts but remember one of the packers saying that they had a drive in, then hunt from horseback elk camp. They were honest and easy to deal with for what I used them for.

Thank you! I will check them out.

Are you residents or nonresident? That will narrow your search as not all outfitters have tags. Quite a few have various options....would narrow your area and check out Outfitters in those areas, many of them know each other and likely can point you to another of they don't have

Non. You are correct, I am only considering those with tags. I didn’t even think to mention it.

Thanks, Steve
