Idaho house bill 677

Guides take their clients to water because it’s easy money. The bill isn’t about just Pronghorn. You do you on private lands….not my public lands okay?

Are you that dumb that you think everything is an absolute?
Cant guide on public land here with the exception of some of the forest service in the hills. Its an absolute that you talk non sense and know nothing you talk about. Go worry about the bison goring the antelope some more.

Your hatred for ranchers shows right through this. You don’t have a problem coming to my state and getting your handout of landowner tags.

Jfc you’re dense.

If writing a check is a hand out then yes.

Some of us are capable of seeing the gray area and realizing that nothing is black and white.

Restrictions on public land to favor one user group over another isn’t right..

Got it, good with public land restrictions on hunting sponsored by the ranchers and not f and g.

We don’t have the same problems with cameras here that there are in NM, and besides antelope hunting water blinds isn’t nearly as popular as it is in nm.

This same legislator has also put forth proposals to limit camping on state lands and other restrictions to favor the cattle industry over other users of public lands.
That isn’t what I intended…putting words in my mouth again. Painting ranchers as the boogeyman will get you nowhere. What if the director of APR was your representative? Would you be blowing the trumpet? More animals than just game animals use those water tanks. I find it refreshing that a state legislature is willing to put hunting into a democratic process. You stated on my thread that you were “politically homeless”. Politically bankrupt is more like it. More animals than just game animals use those water tanks. Since disturbance of wildlife isn’t your concern, I doubt you would get any bi-partisan support anyway.

I think it more like you are too stupid to understand what I am talking about.

Idaho is completely different than nm which is completely different than South Dakota.

Guided/guides are pretty rare here in comparison to nm. We have a very limited amount by comparison. Usually 1-2 outfits per unit at max.

But just because someone can get bipartisan support on a bill doesnt make it a wise bill to support.

Im not even a blind hunter, let alone a still hunter. But im not supportive of this for one simple fact. Its protecting one user base while limiting others. It doesnt matter if it is the ranchers wanting this or PETA was. Even if Brandon Herra came out and said he supported this id still be agasint it.

Simple fact is, its limiting one user base on public lands. Might aswell limit hunting over water too, so it doesnt disrupt other animals for using it.

Saying ranchers are looking out for us as hunters politically is disingenuous at best, do I think they’re the boogeyman, nope. Do I think we get screwed over in favor of their interests sometimes, yup. Once again, it’s a nuanced issue with most being benign and generally not an issue.

If you understood the reps other bills, you’d understand my position, that would require you to actually do some research to understand though.

I don’t know what the APR director as my representative has to do with anything, I’m sure we’d have things in common and things we disagreed on like most adults do.

If being politically bankrupt means you don’t support either party wholeheartedly, then I’m proud to be.

I hope I’ve answered your questions, you should try it sometime.
