The thing is, they arnt the state with the latest app date. South Dakota’s is later and their draw is already done. June 16th ended the application period and we knew results on the 26th. And that’s a state that has to calculate preference points and makes a 1/3 of the amount of money on a non resident deer tag.

I meant of the more western states, but I agree Idaho does seem to be behind the times. No reason results should take longer than a week or two with the technology available and no points system to deal with.

No it's not the same as every year. Been 3rd week of june with the exception of 2018. people keep saying that yet only one time in many years was it even close to July 10.

Maybe so, but it's never been printed in the regs that they'll be ready the 3rd week of June. That's just when they've had them ready, it's always said July 10th or so in the book.

If the July 10th is the date in the regs, why not call on the commission to re look at the date and move that up to an earlier date. Since a date is just on paper, doesn't mean it cannot be changed.

Point out the absence of paper apps, no preference points to deal with as well as making our draw slightly more competitive with other states in the relative area.

who gives a crap what IDFG prints..its been a issue for years the deadline and how late it is. We all apply but it doesnt mean we cant complain about it or like it!

Why don't they figure out whatever system Montana is on? They have results back to you within 7-10 days of the application deadline.

We know plenty well how to read the regs and knew the deadline prior to applying.

We also know it doesn't take 5 weeks to get results. Does that make me a whiny gash, naw, when I hunt for 7 days, hike 50 miles and dont see good elk and deer numbers, THEN Im a whiny gash. haha

We need to give IDFG a break. They probably didn't anticipate the 500,000 new residents in the past few years. AND they all applied.
