Idaho Controlled Hunt Application Question

If you apply for an ELK controlled hunt, there is a 5 day waiting period after capped quota hunts open before you can apply. If you apply for ONLY a Deer controlled hunt, that same 5 day wiating period for capped quota Elk hunts does NOT apply, correct?

In other words you only are subject to that 5 day waiting period for an elk capped quota tag if you apply for an elk controlled hunt. Other controlled hunts will not impact your ability to purchase those tags.

Any fellow idahoans that van verify my understanding of this regulation? I called Fish and Game and even they were a little unsure even though they ultimate said "yes i believe thats correct, only elk controlled hunts will cause the wiating period"

Yes, that's correct. Its only for elk.
