As stated before, Idaho doesn't have check stations like you find all over eastern states. A game warden can normally check in your bear, which involves pulling a tooth, filling out a form, and they might put a metal tag on the hide. Sometimes one lives near where you are hunting. Ask the regional office for that area. I live about 100 miles from the nearest F&G office, but there is a game warden living a few minutes from me. He will check in bears and wolves for us.We'll be coming in from the east and will be just about 5 miles from the MT border. I'll call them again and see what the next FNG person says. I asked him if he was sure it was Missoula MT and he confirmed it was. I have no clue how these things work out west but sure seemed odd to me. Thanks fellas!
