Idaho Cam checks and elk shed walking 🤩

Checked my first winter cams and been out looking for sheds.....so far seen many little bulls, have some bulls to look for and got a laugh at another person who had to walk out...roads many weeks from drivable and the January wind storm will have many chainsaws out

The one next to me is a decade old and he goes a lot mine two yrs old.....plenty of power and go only change or addition maybe basket in front

Where he was at took a 4am getup 2 hr drive 1.5 hr ride in and then 2.5 snowshoe trek....looking for him on next round when backpack in No wonder I don’t lose cams to thieves

Did they really try to drive a stock xterra up that road lol...

Not sure I'd enjoy that vehicle in fall on that road Did you find any moose paddles so far? I spend so much time around that area looking for them and always come up empty.

Not many moose in this area and through 40 yrs have only found two paddles but not my target

If it's the area I think, I wont say on the forums, yeah they're few and far between. They sure seem hard to find for some reason. I often wonder if hiking the bottom drainages around Baldy would have some.

no worries I’m posting on the internet so know how it goes but will say no Balyds in this area .....the guy next to me specializes in Big moose paddles let’s just say he finds them wayyyy off the bottom....look for willows and red vines....pack river and Bonner’s area used to have great moose numbers good luck they are out there buddy did engraving For one of my labs

Lol yep, been there myself as well. You learn quick in the PNW, that's for sure. Not ashamed to say I've hiked off the bunco for an entire night in the past.

I've seen a few huge moose around, they're getting harder to find though. I have seen a few 50-60" around my area and in Bonners, wolves are out of control in Bonners though. I dream of finding a big set of paddles.

That wasn't Baldy you posted though

I will say I always look forward to your photos, you have amazing photos and I'm glad you share them.

Round two who likes hiking in snow gonna start a new fitness program that is cheap....strap pack on and go...checked 5 more cams some good pics but antlers tough to come by so far gotta keep walking Oh and the new tent as good as advertised if going long distance
