Idaho Beaverhead Zone A tag

First time big game hunter. Bought a resident elk A Tag for Idaho Beaverhead Zone by mistake, not fully understanding how limited this hunt is for rifle hunting. Do you just use the road system and OnX and make sure you never hike more then 1 mile from an Ag field? Did I essentially get a private land owner tag for a farmer who wants to remove cows from their ag fields? Also I'm very new to hunting but do alot of fishing around eastern Idaho and would exchange local fishing info for hunting help. Thanks for any help, just trying to navigate all of this tag and regulation info on my own as a rookie and clearly not figuring it all out.

If it’s something you really don’t want to deal with you can go exchange the tag at a regional office as long as you do it before the season opens

You can also get a cheap muzzleloader and hunt the October cow hunt.
