I haven't seen anything on this posted, yet, so I thought I would bring it up to everyone's attention.
I live in Idaho and am originally from Washington and I think it is a great thing for fellow veterans. Became effective this year.
Basically, if you are a disabled veteran, certified by the V.A. at 40% (for Idaho) or 30% (for Washington) or greater disability, and are a non-resident, you get a HUGE discount on license and tags.

Hunting license non-resident disabled veteran - $31.75
Deer tag non-resident disabled veteran- $23.75
Elk tag non-resident disabled veteran - $39.75
Washington also did the same thing and passed a bill last year giving a big discount on nonresident disabled veteran hunting and fishing. Here are the sites to go and check the rates, etc:
