I need to learn to bugle and cow call before September

Do it in traffic with a window down.
Day three, instead of my horn I use a bugle. I get less angry responses and more confused looks.
I believe this also helps with tone control when I’m not perfectly calm

Unless a diaphragm is easy for you to master, it is for several of my buddies. I would stick to the reed attached calls. I tried a couple until I found one I could get proficient with easily. Practice in the car and the guest room. A cow call is more important and for me used for 90% of my calling but it is important to be able to challenge a bull with a bugle if the opportunity presents itself.

My first time bowhunting elk I taught myself how to use mouth reeds and a bugle tube on the 30 hour drive to western MT. Was i the greatest when i got there, nope. Did i call in elk, yes.

The people i drove by on the highway probably thought i was going through a crisis in the truck, or drinking out of the tube... But, you do what you gotta do.
