Congratulations, I am an Oregon ML hunter as well. You will enjoy it. I went the Knight MK-85 route and have not regretted it for a minute. I now cast my own conicals and I am loving it.
Good Luck and Good Hunting

I use 777 and yes it's dirty, but I never run a patch between shots as you will rarely do it in the field. I do keep a 12ga bore snake in my bag and if I do find myself in a situation where I am not reloading right away I will run it through a few times. Thompson Center T-17 eats up 777 residue, so I highly recommend it.

I recommend the Thompson Center 4-N-1 speed loaders as they are self contained field loads with an integrated bullet starter. One less thing to have to carry in the field. The regular red ones carry up to 100gr and the black go up to 150 I believe. I have used a few different speed loaders and they are by far the best.

Well I have been playing with my Accura ,went a bought a PeepRib site with base ,I do plan on playing with a scope and hunting open sight , after mounting the new PeepRib site I went to ebay and found a cheapie quick release scope rings ,,weaver style,, ,I bought 2 different styles a one piece,, ar15 style,, the other are separate rings ,Got the one piece still waiting on the other ,,Tried mounting the one piece but the groves and locks missed by a 1/2" ,I fired up the milling machining and did some machining ,Cut the one piece in to 2 separate mounts ,
There was a little more work than that ,But not going to go into all of it ,,For me the scope sits to high but was a fun thing to try ,,
