What do you guys use to clean your tents? Do you soak them completely or pitch them up and scrub them and let air dry? So many people saying different things.
I’ve also used a paste of baking soda water and small amount of vinegar to treat mildew / extra dirty spots that were causing smells.
Either way, pitch, scrub, rinse, air dry and pack loosely like I treat my down bags. Store in a dry / dark place has kept some of my tents looking and functioning like new for 10+ years
I've had good luck with Dawn and a sponge and letting it air dry in the sun.
If it's PU coated and it's been put away wet, inspect the inside surface for peeling. It won't be waterproof anywhere that the PU has bubbled/peeled off.
mtnrunner260 this was purchased from a friend of mine so who knows what he was doing lol! I think he packed it in in pack with the meat from a buck he killed last year.
could put some sport wash in a cooler then fill with water and hand wash it then let air dry. after i pack a animal with my backpack i do this and it comes out like new.
Mine goes in the washing machine, a front loader, then hangs in the man room to dry. Some distilled vinegar in the bleach dispenser will eliminate odors, same for your game bags.
