What type was it? Nail polish, nor paint will dry in a totally airtight situation.

This stuff. Some of the more expensive nail polish clearly sets up better on nails, I assume that holds for other applications as well, but haven't tested it.

If I'm stealing my wife's nail polish for this, does it matter which color/brand I take? Does it get too old to work?

I haven’t personally seen a difference in any brand.


In hundreds to thousands of screws on rings and actions- none have come loose after degreasing and using nail polish. Whereas it’s probably 1 out of 50’ish or so that have come loose doing the same with blue loctite.

And here was me thinking this whole time it had to be Sinful Colors' brand, Cherry Kiss color, or nothin' ...
