I know suppressor threads are beat to death and have been in the rabbit hole for a long time now - I've been going through past posts and piecing stuff together. I've got these 3 currently on my list:

1. AB Raptor 8
2. Hyperion K
3. Scythe TI

This is going to live on a Seekins Element 6.5prc and don't really have plans to swap it onto other guns.

I'm debating on waiting until the Raptor 8 is back in stock (currently backordered) or going with the Hyperion K. The Scythe blowing up thread has me way too nervous and think I'm pretty much scrapping that from the list.

Any feedback between the Raptor 8 and the Hyperion K? I read through the 18+ pages in the suppressor thread, but also have questions on the Hyperion K and adaptors/threading. Will there be any issues with direct thread to my Seekins? I know the threads are 5/8x 24 on both the Hyperion K and the Seekins, but the mention of the "shoulder" and fitting has had me questioning it. I would rather not have to mess with any adapters

Thanks and sorry for opening another suppressor thread.

I cant remember the exact number but Hyperion K needs a shoulder diameter of about .74" if you dont use the adapter. Its listed on the website.

Muleyfever pretty much nailed it. The Hyperion K owners manual says that they recommend using their adapter if the shoulder is less than .735”. I have one of their adapters rockset to a rifle that has a thinner contour. It stays on tight and is very repeatable.

Thanks for the feedback guys - I saw that also, but not quite sure how to measure the barrel to determine what the shoulder is? My fear is that I will end up needing an adaptor and not know it until I get the can in my hands. The one plus with the Hyperion K is that currently Silencer Shop has a free tax stamp on it.

I'm kinda leaning on just waiting out the Raptor at this point, but just trying to weigh options. Thanks again for the feedback on it

If you already have the rifle in hand. You measure just behind the threaded portion with calipers. The adapter is in stock online if you feel you need it.
