HUXWRX Flow 762 TI

Is the length comfortable, do you regret not getting a dedicated 556 can. What was your reasoning behind choosing the 762 and not the 556k. I’ve read the 762 actually performs slightly better that the 556k but am on the fence because of it’s increased length.

The length is fine -no regrets at all but I've also never used the 556 version. The choice was easy for me because I also use this can on an AR10 in 308.

I actually have two of these now. One lives on the PSA 10.5 as a home defense rifle. The wife has no problem swinging it around. I wouldn't change anything on that set up except maybe switch out the host for a ddm4v7s someday, but the length is fine.

The other can alternates between the PWS mk116 and the ar10. I use the mk116 as a true general purpose rifle: practice, hunting, truck gun. Total barrel length is around 23" -no problems for me.

The AR10 has an 18" barrel and if you've ever used one you'll know what I mean: it's just a big, heavy, and awkward hunk of metal. Luckily it's accurate. I only use it for hog hunting at night and I'm definitely not hiking over any mountains or sneaking around any corners with it. All to say it's the one flow host I like the least... until the shooting starts, then it's amazing.

What is your intended use and why do you think 1" could make a difference for you?

This is the first suppressor I will be buying to use on an AR. The possibility of sharing this with an AR 10 platform in the future
Is what appeals to me most, but I also like the ability for me or my wife to use the on our 30 cals while hunting ( currently we share a Nomad Ti XC). I guess in summation I’m cheap and just want to make sure there isn’t anything I’m overlooking that going to make me
Regret using this on an AR. My current setup is an 18” which creates some concern on length but I plan to replace with a 14.5”. Thank you for your time and info is much appreciated.

I know you were not asking this at all, but hopefully you've considered that there's other cans arguably more fit for your purpose. If you've done that and you're still dead set on huxwrx, then my opinion is you're good to go with that 762.

I have considered other options but I have an opportunity an extremely generous deal on one of these. I know that o want a flow through for my AR10 is there anything you would recommend looking to if that was your main criteria?

There's nothing that I can recommend, but that's only because I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to ARs. That's the reason I bought a huxwrx in the first place, seemed like a true flow through was the easy button for getting a rifle to run correctly versus messing with the gas block, buffer weight, and recoil spring.
