I would look at the Trijicon ten mile or Nightforce NXS or NX8 over either of those.

I've got a couple of VX5's and VX6's. The turrets are a little "mushy", but I have never had a zeroing issue. For its price I think the VX5 has some of the best clarity of anything, including the comparably priced Swaro's and Zeiss. They also have the best scope caps out there.

What do you mean by " Mushy"?

When you rotate the turret it doesn't solidly "click" into the next setting.
