Looking at this sled as an option for moving bone in moose quarters and am wondering if any members have experience with them.

i got one of these for Christmas one year and tried it. it helped but i never used it again.

so it did not help enough to take.

Thanks for the response, @rayporter . I've got one of the Deer Sleigh'r Magnum sleds as well and will use it unless I can find a lighter/more compact alternative.

I made a DIY pulk/game drag from a 3$ crazy carpet and some well placed cuts and grommets. Once tied up the front section ends up bullet shaped so it pulls over and around things well. It weighs less than 1# iirc and rolls up into a fairly tight pkg. It work very well, But there are times where a pack or packout bags are just better suited. The crazy carpet is large enough to drag a deer out whole or two elk quarters. Haven't done a moose with it so no real experience but I'd imagine it would work just fine. A chunk of 6mm poly does wonders for friction while dragging too but definitely won't last long.
