Hunting Tattoos

Been thinking about one, I have plenty of others but nothing yet that honors my greatest passion. Been thinking about my pup on point with a flush, but really want to nod the greatest of all, the mule deer. Would love to see what others have done.

I always thought it would be cool to take the picture of my best buck how I found him lying on the side of the mountain in black and grey with the blood trail in red ink.

It's an upside skull with pines coming out of the bottom. It's based on a painting I saw, but altered it a bit. Wanted the skull to look "galaxy-ish" to represent sunrise/sunset/sky all swirled together. For some reason the painting really resonated with me.

Never paid close attention to it, but if memory serves me it was a painting of a girl holding her bare breast.

Not hunting but this guy does incredible work for both fish and wild game. I'd recommend taking a look at his stuff. Once I kill a bull elk over 300, I am going to him to get it tattooed. Aj McGuire at Dead Drift Tattoo in Denver. So good, I traveled out of state to get the tattoo.

I've got a friend with a bunch of "terrible" tattoos. She loves them.

Tells people they mean she had $200 and makes bad decisions.

Almost all my tattoos are hunting tattoos. 2 sleeves and adding. My favorite single piece probably being a tree on my forearm with Ralph Waldo Emerson’s quote: “In the woods, is perpetual youth”

Favorite mountain range I’ve been going to in the cabinet mountains for 20yrs hunting and with my lab Magnum. Elk tracks on one calf, dog tracks on the other calf of deceased dogs. Raven on a large elk shed and took the Rmef logo decades ago, as elk hunting and bugling bulls has been my passion since 1980.

There is the remote possibility that those who aren't as rugged and macho as you might do things for some reason other than wanting to be tough...but they're probably all pansies.
