How cumbersome is the rifle when a suppressor is mounted to the 24” barrels?

Its big, but it doesn't really bother me. I keep it attached while in and out of the truck Antelope hunting. For deer or elk depending on terrain and where I'm going I'll hike in without it attached and then screw it in once I get to a glassing location. While heading out I may keep it on or take it off depending on the terrain.

are you looking for a suppressor to use on different rifles or one dedicated to the 6.5cm? If you don't need one rated to 300 win, there are likely more options. Also there is a can designed for 6.5mm and smaller, that might be of interest to you.

I have AR's I could us it on, but for now the only rifle I have that is threaded is the Bergara. Which can is it that would be of interest to me?

I'm probably going to buy a hybrid 46 next. So I can thread and hunt with my levers again.

The harvester is an adequate suppressor and well worth it's cost. The extra length is an issue on longer barrels but it's much more effective than a k baffle suppressor because of that length. Tape a Gatorade bottle on your barrel and see if you can stomach the extra length.

Good idea. I am not super worried about the length because I like to carry my rifle a little different than normal. I either carry safari-style with the rifle in front of my shoulder and the sling across my shoulder on my back (opposite of traditional carry) (this cants it forward and gives good control to easily move the barrel down and out of the way) or sometimes I will carry slung on my back but barrel down. Both of this mitigate the barrel hanging up on tree branches.

I also used a Griffin Sportsman Ultra Light 300. I like the weight of it, but I do not like the taper mount I have to use with it. Maybe that wouldn't bother some but direct thread is the better choice IMO.

Leave the taper mount device in the suppressor and you have a direct thread...

if you’re going to run a gas gun like an AR they suggested a dominus vs the ultra. Not sure if the gen 2 is the same.

how much will a suppressor help reduce on a .308 cal rifle.....prob a stupid question but I'm not to schooled on these suppressors

I have a specwar on a 26" 308. Id call it between 22 sub 22 supers loud. I shoot it with earspro on when practice. But my ears won't rings if a fire a few without.
Honestly sounds more like an air hose dumping pressure instantly.

I have done some more research and some of the posts in here kinda pointed out what a one trick pony a Harvester is.

I am really liking the idea of the Q Trash Panda. It is short and lightweight (TI), and it comes with two flash hiders that aren't super obtrusive and only weigh 2 oz, which means right out of the box you can set up two rifles for it. Plus additional flash hiders for additional rifles are only $75. It is $200 over what I wanted to pay but so be it.

Now I just need to find one in stock at the Silencer Store.

I didn’t entirely appreciate my Harvester until I ran it on a 300 WM. The recoil reduction was noticeable and welcome....

Now I need to get it repaired as I think a baffle came loose on the 12th shot of the day. (It was still tight on the barrel)

I won’t argue as it’s the only centerfire can I have and maybe why I wasn’t impressed until the 300... Definitely quieter and milder.

I have shot big kickers my whole life without brakes as I hate’em. My shoulder though is saying “do something”....

Suppressors definitely make the recoil pulse longer especially with magnums. I am going to mess with some reflex cans to see if they offer a little more recoil reduction. I hear they do but want to see it first hand.

The Ultra 7 would be a better comparison. GT always sounds tinny to me but they are very well built.

Put me in the camp of definitely buy once cry once for a can. A good quality UL Ti can. TBAC UL 7 is pretty much the standard. No first hand experience but the Q stuff seems good if you can stomach the owner.

I think that's the second harvester that's come apart on a 300 WM on here in the past year.

My recommendation would be to stay away from SilencerCo. My SOT has been having alot of QC/warranty issues with them. I have a TBAC (highly recommend), a StingerWorx Hunter 30 (highly recommend for a smaller company) and a RexSilentium MG7 (another smaller company) in process. I have had phenomenal customer service with TBAC and have had zero issues from my StingerWorx. I haven't shot the Rex can yet but I hear they are badass.

Personally I think the smaller companies pay more attention to QC rather than bigger companies that are cranking cans out to meet demand.
