Hunting South Africa

I went visited south Africa but didn't get to hunt there. I didn't have to get any shots. If you go I recommend staying a few days in cape town. It's a special country I saw the big 5, cage dove with great whites and saw the penguins that are close to the cape of good hope. It's a trip of a lifetime

As mentioned above, do some research and get any shots/ meds needed. I had 6 buddies take a trip to SA and only use a “ special herbal tablet “ that was supposed to be great.
they all got malaria, 4 of them spent a week in the hospital and couldnt work for a month.

When I went to South Africa 5 years ago we got vaccines for hep A and B, yellow fever, typhoid, tetenus but no malaria as the area was listed as malaria free. Going to Tanzania in 3 weeks and needed updates on typhoid and the malaria pills. There are 3 or 4 different malaria prevention medications, one of which is really nasty, gives extreme dreams and suicidal thoughts, for some people the side effects are for life. The best anti malarial is the daily antibiotics.

Get your vaccinations and have them put in the yellow card / book that way you have proof that is internationally recognized. They did not ask for it in Namibia but I had it in case.
