Hunting scopes good eyebox and eye relief

So, on the Maven, not sure I want a FFP scope for hunting out to 250-300 yards. Looking like the VX5HD Gen 2 is a good choice.

Anyone with experience with the VX4HD?

I'm in my 50s, and although I had 20/20 eye sight most of my life, I've started wearing reading glasses over the past few years, so I know where you're coming from!

I have several VX-5HD 3-15x44 scopes and one VX-4HD 3-12x40, and they are some of the easiest scopes to get behind I've ever used. They eye box on all of them is VERY forgiving.

My Steiner Predator 4 2.5-10x42 is probably just as good. It's a fantastic scope with a great hunting reticle.

I also own a NF ATACR, Trijicons, Schmidt & Bender, Vortex, etc. They are all fabulous scopes, but for hunting purposes I think the Leupolds and the Steiner are easier on my eyes. Just my two cents.

I've run my Minox zp5 3-15 against a lot of money and it's yet to be equaled in eye box. To hear that the nx8 is easy to get behind must come from an anomaly scope or low quality comparisons. I do like my lrhs scopes a lot... but they're not in the same class at all.

I am BLOWN AWAY by the Arken's optical performance. I have not had a chance to rattle it much but I have two of the ep5's and pulled the nx8 4-32 to replace it with the Arken because it optically beats the NF by enough to be no contest.

If these can stay together.... it's easily one of the best buys in optics.

That Sightron s8 is another unsung hero. That thing is an optical monster....but with a 40mm tube and weight equal to an elephant it's just for targets.

I’ve got 2 EPL 4-16 that agave done well hunting and riding in the truck.
Nothing extensive yet but good so far.

Buddy of mine had one of the Sightrons.

Pretty wild on highest magnification. For sure.
