Hunting Rifle Decision: Your Most Accurate Rifle or Favorite Cartridge

I have a 1870's vintage Rolling block in 50-70 that is my favorite hunting rifle. I use it whenever possible but due to the open sights it is not often here in the Black Forest. I have taken everything from cottontails to bison with 425gr lead bullets on top of BP. It consistently shoots 1.25MOA.

I take it back. Going back through my notes, it shoots a 108 ELDM Handload sub MOA. I dropped this doe at 501 yards yesterday evening.

You should try the factory match ammo. Mine shoot .5-.6 moa with it.

This load 27.5 grains of Varget 108 ELDM does good. It is a picky rifle.

Right now, its my 25 creed. .7 moa 10 shot groups consistently. Shot this .6 10 round a couple days ago after a hunt where I fell 3-4 times in the snow and banged the scope, and drove probably 100 miles on washboard roads. Zero didn't shift one bit.

My most accurate rifle is a browning ab3 in 30-06 with 180 grain core lokt shooting 1/4 moa 100 yards.

Fierce carbon rival in 28 nosler is my go to rifle for elk hunting. It's very accurate 1/3 moa and capable of shooting long range if needed.
