Hunting pack for short women

Looking for advice on a legit hunting pack for my wife. She's 5'2" and I've adjusted my regular frame kuiu pro as short as it will go and the shoulder straps still sit 3 inches high above her shoulders. Any recommendations for short folks?

My wife is taller but has the torso of somebody a lot shorter. She has the 22" UL Frame from Kifaru and won't shut up about it she loves it so much!

Stid what frame/bag combo did you go with? Did they customize a hip belt for her since a small is 28"-32 waist?

The pack is a 5200KU, they don't make that pack anymore. I believe she uses a Xsmall belt, I already owned this pack, so I sent it back to Kifaru with her measurements and they replaced the belt and adjusted it to her size. When you buy from Kifaru, you are more than a customer, you become family. I have never had better CS from any other company.

I'm 5'4" and I just picked up a Kifaru this year. I assumed since I'm short that I would need the 22" frame but after calling Kifaru I went with the 24" frame and it seems to work great so far. I haven't carried any serious weight in it yet but I think it's going to be a winner for me. The taller frames just create more lift for load hauling. My old hiking backpack adjusted the hip belt up or down on the frame and the shoulder straps were fixed. I hated this because when I adjusted it to fit me the pack would be hanging down and hitting me in the butt. On the kifaru you set the hip belt on your hips and bring the shoulder straps down to where they need to be. Kifaru also had it set up perfectly when I took it out of the box. Whoever does the set up knows how to take the measurements you send them and work their magic.

Will add, Kifaru has a new pack coming out next month called the Woodsman, I think it's going to be perfect size for what my wife needs in a pack, might want to check it out when it comes available!

View attachment 42016 This is my girl friend packing out her bull this year. She is carrying a hind quarter and a back strap plus day hunting gear. I'm not sure what it weighed but it was a lot considering she is 5'2" and 120 lbs. She got a kifaru 24" frame with a mountain warrior bag and I think she has the extra small belt. She is very happy with the pack.
