It won't. The shutdown affects visitor services, issuing permits, and behind the scenes operations. The lands should remain open as usual. Law enforcement and fire personnel will continue to work.Hopefully this will not start to cause nf and blm shutdowns
"CPW said other big game hunting seasons may be considered depending on the length of the shutdown."
I guess I've never needed a fed to help me hunt.
Government; how would we ever get along without it?
Can't shut the gates if you laid off all your gate-shutters. lolYou don't on any Forrest Service roads for hunting access?

Oh dude. I'm not even going there. I agree, but wasn't going there at all.I was thinking more along the lines of, "if you drive a road that was built and/or maintaiuned by the Forrest Service, then you relied on government help to go hunting"
Don't really care about the rules there, the point is Colorado DOW is making it right to those who drew a tag there and can't use it now.If you have ever hunt PCMC you know how laughable this is, the rules to hunt there are a giant PIA anyhow. Not being able to access the front gate which is just a code till dang near sunrise and then drive 25-30 mph on the roads out there which definitely have cops patrolling on them to ticket you
Yeah nice that guys are getting their tags refunded, it’s just funny because you really don’t need anyone to do anything, open or close gates ect, out there, plus there is a fire station down there that is staffed 24:7 as well, it’s a lame excuse. Creepiest part of that area is that they eminent domained a bunch of ranches to make that place. Still a bunch of ranch houses in there that are in perfect condition still. I always wondered if they are using them something, really odd though. Beautiful area for sureDon't really care about the rules there, the point is Colorado DOW is making it right to those who drew a tag there and can't use it now.
