You do find them elsewhere and honestly around here everything is so thick might just be that they are easier to spot on the fringe or out in the burn.

Definitely agree with this in the thick north country where you practically have to step on them to see them the burns or clearcuts give a whole new element to hunting this type country.The burns in this country also become magnets with the smorgasbord of goodies that just were not available under the dense canopy.You do find them elsewhere and honestly around here everything is so thick might just be that they are easier to spot on the fringe or out in the burn.
