I picked up a 7 mag barrel for my Pro Hunter in January and have just started playing around with it. I have a Leupold VX3i 4.5x14 mounted on it. I sighted in with federal fusion 150s and they grouped almost identical as the HSMs. The following week I wanted to try some premium ammo to see how it shot. I had seen Sierra had come out with the GameChanger line and HSM has them on their tipping point line up. This group was at 100 yards. I had one flyer in this 4 shot group. I was having a conversation and trying to concentrate at the same time so that wasn’t a cartridge flaw....all me. Pretty impressed with accuracy so far. I shot the 350 yard gong 3 for 3 so that was solid as well. As for terminal performance I’m not sure what to really expect as I’ve seen such limited reviews. Anyway, just thought I’d post this up in case anyone was looking at trying them out but was skeptical of them being so new. I’m going to run them at longer range next week but if they continue to perform I’d like to see how they do on deer and elk this fall if the recurve action falls short.
