I am looking to get into get my first bow and willing to spend a little money for some longevity. I used to shoot my uncles Mathews as a kid and I want to get back into archery. From what I have seen, they Hoyt Enduro and Darton Consequence 31 look like good "mid-range" bows. I can not find many comparisons between the two. I am looking for something that can grow with me and is upgradable. I would like the possibility to get into 3D target competitions further down the line.

What is the difference between the two? What features do they have and what features are worth it? What sets them apart? What is a comparable PSE or Mathews that should be on this list (same questions for these)?

The brand I pick will determine which pro shop I call home so, I can't really try them side by side because the shops I'm looking at don't have the same brands.

Find one of each and shoot them. And anything else that looks promising. The bow will pick you.
