LOL!!! Old habits are tough to break some time. If you were shooting 20 + years ago you might remember when strings weren't as stable as they are today. Never liked the rubber tubes so this was something I always did before I shot each arrow to make sure everything was lined up perfect. Well LOL, I still find myself going through all these checks and balances today, whether they need it or not. Probably not the answer you were looking for
As for the Hoyt strings this year ? They are the best they have been ever, I honestly have zero issues with peep rotation and the tune has stayed true with zero changes in cam synch.
It was great to get out for a few and look forward to spending more time with the CS 30 this coming year.
