Luckily, there is a midterm election this year. Typically fuel prices magically drop drastically a few months before the election. Should line up perfectly with elk season
I was in Lake City FL this week and saw gas in the low- to mid-$4 range. Surpised to see mid-3 when I got home toeastern NC. So I google it and here's the diff:
Low / Avg / High
NC $3.62 / $3.68 / $3.80 (across 3 gas stations in my local town)
FL $4.10 / $4.75 / $4.26
However, a different link showed gas at Murphy for $3.47 so I think we're really sub-$3.50 right now.
High enough that I started commuting with my motorcycle a little early. It’s a little chilly in the morning but I have good gear and heated grips. $4.80/gallon for 91 octane ethanol free. I brought all four 5 gallon cans down and filled them up. Should last a month if I can manage to not ride it like I stole it.
Paid $4.79 for diesel in Ft Payne, AL (home) last night. Went from here to Nashville Saturday/Sunday, prices ranged up to as high as $5.25, but mostly around $4.80 for diesel.
Diesel was down to $5.29 last week in upstate NY. Now its up to $5.89. WTF. And, anyone that rips the Biden "I did that" stickers off the fuel pumps should be taking a hard look in the mirror and vote appropriately next time.
