Howa Mini Rifles, Builds, and Upgrades

After heating up, I put it on the stock and wrapped it with tape to hold until it cooled off. There is a screw hole on the top of the cheek riser or the instructions say you can use 2 sided tape. I’ll end up mounting it with a screw. I’m not wanting to lose it while we are hiking around if the tape fails.

Use this, I've used it for a few things and it holds for years.
the one time I had to remove it, I had to cut it off with a razor

Could someone with a Jefferson 223 bottom metal please load the mag and record quickly cycling the mag through then do it running the bolt slow? Mine was pretty shit but the longer coal would be nice.
These are my .223AI with 75ELDMs loaded at 2.38"
One wee hang up on the steep shoulder when running it slow, no issues when run fast.

If you want it can try and get a close up in the action.

Thats way better than mine was. It was horrific. Jammed every quick reload and half the slow ones. The spring snapped i replaced it and it still sucked. That makes me wonder if I should've tried to solve the problem longer. Oh well the 73 elds fit in factory mags and they run perfect once they are made into 5 rounders.

One thing i found was when the mag box was just pushed into the bottom metal, loading from the top could jamb the mag box down just a tiny bit too low and then the bolt would skip over the top of the case.
Real annoying until I figured it out, I used a couple spots of JB Weld to fix the mag box to the bottom metal and haven't had an issue since.

I do tend to run my bolts fast which definitely helps with the steep AI shoulder.
